Money and Clothes |

My parents are not mean or greedy - they are just careful - they don't want their money to burn. They earn their money for living working at the plant and got used to counting it anyway. I don't look like my mother or father - honestly saying, I am generous. I love looking for pretty things and buying presents for my nephews and nieces. I know each child like getting a new gift like a teddy-bear, a doll-house or a big puzzle. Supermarkets are full of such staff surely. Of course, I have no money of my own but I try to keep my pocket money. Sometimes I think that there are some things money cannot buy - friendship, care, or love, for example. Those are coming from the deep of person's heart and money cannot help in this case. My friend Lulu is of different opinion - she argues that everything can be bought for good money. Probably she is right - each man has his own point of view. She is wearing expensive jackets and jeans of modern trends - no wonder, her parents are diplomats in one of the South America countries. Despite that, we have much in common - we are teenagers, go to the same school, and love eating popcorn at the cinema. She is not voracious at all - social and friendly, kind and gentle, and in addition, she shares her clothes with me. I borrow shoes to disco or jackets that suit my skirt. This is fine because my mom considers me to be wasteful and promiscuous. However Lulu and I understand that new clothes allow looking perfect and raise our spirits. | |
